副詞の質問です (scarcely, almost, usually)

We found there was (scarcely) any money left in the cash-box.という文で、( )が、noだとなぜダメなのでしょうか…①
We (hardly) ever see Tom anymore.What has he been doing?という文で、( )が、almost,usuallyが不適な理由を教えてください..➁

① anyがあるため。「no any」では変です。例えばhardly anyなどでしたらOKです。

② everですから。Never でしたら、almostかusuallyでもOKです（We (almost) never see Tom anymore.What has he been doing? / We (usually) never see Tom anymore.What has he been doing?）
