文法の間違い？「force not stronger than」

The operator applied a force not stronger than 5N to the test sample.
（作業者はその試験サンプルに5Nを超えない力を加えた。）

上記の英語は不自然な英語でしょうか。「force not stronger than」という言葉を検索しましたが、結果が少なかったです。文法がおかしいのでしょうか。適切な英文も教えていただけると助かります。
